A message from our principal, Mrs. Anne Knapke
Dear Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Family and Friends,
Considering yesterday's snow storm, it is hard to believe that Spring is right around the corner. We hope all of our families enjoyed the snow day. While it was nice to be able to catch up on a few things around the house, we hope that this will be the last snow of the school year.
At Monday's in-service, we shared faculty news that we would also like to share with our school families. We have two faculty members who will be leaving us at the end of the school year due to family moves. After teaching at GMA for 29 years, Mrs. Michele Byrne, our 4th through 8th grade Honors Math Teacher, will be moving to Florida. In addition, Mrs. Lindsey Rauch, our Curriculum Director, will be moving to New York. We are so thankful for Mrs. Byrne's and Mrs. Rauch's dedicated service to GMA and wish them all the best as they plan for their upcoming moves at the end of the year.
Finally, we look forward to welcoming our dads and father figures at Donuts for Dads tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM in the cafeteria. All are welcome at our Thursday Morning Gathering in the gym following Donuts with Dad.

TerraNova standardized testing for grades 2-7 will take place the week of March 20-March 24. Please read this important letter from our administration regarding the upcoming testing process.
Last week, parents of 2nd and 7th graders sponsored the evening meal at Philadelphia's Women of Change. Thank you so much to all the parents who have been contributing to this very worthwhile weekly outreach into the community. They are truly a part of #MakeMercyReal.
Sign up now for the 2017 Miles 4 Mercy, a 5K Run/Walk and 1K Fun Run/Walk for kids which will take place on April 23rd at the Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School track. The 5K course starts at the track and continues on through the campus of Gwynedd Mercy College, looping back to finish on the track.
Due to yesterday's winter storm, GMA has rescheduled the presentation from Sister Mary Scullion, "A Lenten Reflection: Who is My Neighbor?" to April 4th at 7:00 PM.
Sign up now for GMA faculty camps the weeks of June 12 and June 19. Camps will run Monday to Friday and include sports, academic enrichment, Jumpstart into Kindergarten, and many other fun activities. Watch this summer camp commercial produced by the GMA Broadcast Team.
Due to our winter storm, the starting practice date for the spring sports of baseball, softball and girls lacrosse have been delayed to Monday, March 20th.
