Hear from a new student!

The essay below was written by a student who enrolled in Gwynedd-Mercy Academy in September 2008.  It was written for a school assignment.

 There's No Place Like Gwynedd-Mercy Academy

Every year adults struggle with the decision of where to send their children to school.  Look no further, because Gwynedd-Mercy Academy is your answer.  It is an award-winning Blue Ribbon School with a positive learning environment, a challenging academic curriculum, and a place where both teachers and students care about each other.  Gwynedd-Mercy Academy would be an excellent choice of a school for your child.

The students and teachers at Gwynedd-Mercy create a positive learning environment.  Teachers encourage students to do their best and are supportive.  They're always available to answer questions and assist students through advisory sessions.  Students are expected to treat others with respect at al times.  An anti-bullying program is in place which ensures a safe learning environment for all students.

As a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School, Gwynedd-Mercy Academy provides one of the most academically challenging programs in the area.  It is one of the few schools to offer French and Spanish for all grades - kindergarten through eighth, and an honors math program.  Enrichment for gifted students is also available.  Each student is encouraged to work to his or her utmost potential.

The thing that makes Gwynedd-Mercy Academy stand above other schools is that the teachers and students really care about each other.  When you go to Gwynedd-Mercy Academy, you feel like you're part of a family.  Coming from a public school, I would say this is truly a community.

Gwynedd-Mercy Academy would be an excellent choice of a school for your child.  You won't be able to find better teachers, students, friends, a more positive learning environment or higher academic standards anywhere.  As a new student myself, I am so glad that I'm a member of this community, built on Mercy, rooted in Gospel values and committed to excellence.  I highly recommend that you choose Gwynedd-Mercy Academy for your children's future.
