Standardized Testing

Proven Academic Success - GMA Test Scores Soar Above the District and Diocese!

Standardized testing is one important indicator of academic achievement at our private elementary school in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Assessments such as the TerraNova NEXT standardized provide nationally norm-referenced data that helps measure student achievement, academic growth, and readiness across core subject areas.

Our grades 2-7 students’ TerraNova standardized test results consistently outperform when compared to both our District (local private and independent Catholic schools within our region), all the schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (102 total) in every grade level in Reading, Math and in our Overall Total Scores, as well as compared to national averages. The graphs below demonstrate this tremendous accomplishment, reinforcing the effectiveness of an academically rigorous curriculum grounded in high expectations, skilled instruction, and a commitment to academic excellence.

While standardized test data offers valuable insight into achievement trends, it represents one component of a comprehensive evaluation of student success. Classroom performance, daily coursework, formal and informal teacher-designed assessments all work together to provide a complete picture of student learning. This balanced approach ensures that standardized testing supports—rather than defines—our mission to educate the whole child and prepare students for continued success in competitive private high schools and and beyond.
