What is Book Day?
Book Day, an informal welcome to school, when families may visit classrooms and meet teachers, will take place on September 8. Times of attendance are as noted below to manage the number of families in the building at once. Due to nature of the event, masks will be required by all participants while indoors.
- 9:00-10:00 AM - Students' last names beginning with O-Z
- 10:30-11:30 AM - Students' last names beginning with N-G
- 12:30-1:30 PM - Students' last names beginning with A-F
Please click here to choose a slot on Sign Up Genius if you do not wish to participate in this in-person Book Day. We will offer a drive-through option to pick up books and supplies on September 8 from 8:00-9:00 AM and 1:30-2:30 PM.
Book Day Fun Facts!
- The GMA Student Council will be selling Book Sox ($4) and Contact Paper ($5) to cover books. New for this year, they will have Breakaway Mask Lanyards ($4) to help students without pockets or those who are prone to losing masks, as they move from indoors to outdoors, where they are not required.
The Vezina family and the GMA Community will be uniting together to offer assistance to those impacted by the devastating effects of Hurricane Ida. Two tents will be set up selling lemonade and individually wrapped, soft pretzels. Please consider stopping and supporting this important effort as we begin the school year "Walking In Mercy". Donations may be made in cash or check payable to Gwynedd-Mercy Academy.
