Dear Gwynedd-Mercy Academy Family and Friends,
Please keep in your thoughts and prayers our 2nd grade students who will be participating in the Sacrament of First Eucharist this Saturday, May 6, at 10:00 AM. The children have been dutifully preparing for this special day and look forward to sharing the joy of receiving Jesus with us all. Thank you, 2nd Grade Teachers, Mrs. Sher, faculty, staff, and parents, for helping our students prepare for this important event in their faith formation journey. May our students be blessed with a beautiful day and may they fully feel the warm embrace of Jesus Christ's love and mercy.
This Friday, May 5, is the last day to register for our first annual GMA Golf Tournament held on Monday, May 22, at Old York Road Country Club. Do not worry if you are not part of a foursome, we will happily match you with others. Are you a non-golfer? Consider joining us at the conclusion of the event for a premium open bar cocktail hour followed by a full-course prime rib dinner. Proceeds will help support our Financial Aid Program. Please see the registration link for more information.
Lastly, please remember to return the Classroom Placement Parent Input Forms that were sent home to you on Monday. Your feedback is very important as we begin our planning for next year.

Looking for an excuse to get a carry out? Take the week off from cooking and stop by Chick-fil-A in Montgomeryville to support our 8th Grade Fundraising Event. For each order placed by someone who mentions our group, a donation will be made directly back to our graduation events. Coming Soon - Next week detailed information on the Parents' Organization Open Board Positions for 2017-2018 will be distributed. This is a wonderful opportunity to be involved at GMA!
All students are invited to bring a mother or mother-figure to our first Muffins with Mom event on Thursday, May 18th at 7:30 AM. Click here to RSVP.
Let's Get Active Night for grades 5-8 will be on Friday, May 19th from 6:30-9:00 PM.
Activities will include yoga as well as some gym class favorites... whether it's dodge ball or gaga the kids will be sure to have fun! RSVP now.
May Procession - All are invited to attend the annual May Devotion in honor of our Blessed Mother on Friday, May 12th at 10:00 am in the gym
- We would appreciate donations of fresh cut flowers from your garden to help decorate the gym.
- Please send flowers to school with your children on Thursday morning, May 11th.
- All floral arrangements will be done on Thursday morning by a team of parent volunteers.

Buy Mother's Day Flowers from the Class of 2017!
The 8th grade will be selling New Guinea Impatiens Hanging Baskets ($10.00), Standard Impatiens Hanging Baskets ($8.00) and 5" Orchids ($9.00) as a fundraiser towards their class gift. Orders must be received by Wednesday, 5/10, at noon. Pickup will be on Friday, 5/12, between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM (it's a noon dismissal). Colors will be assorted and cannot be guaranteed. The Catholic Academy League Track Meet will be held on Saturday, May 13 at St. Basil Academy beginning at 8:30 AM. All students in grades 4-8 are invited to participate. Athletes MUST be pre registered. Please e-mail Mr. Schwartz or Mrs. Patten by May 9 with your event preferences. Athletes may participate in THREE events (Mile run is not included….unlimited entries for the mile).
GMA has partnered with The Common Market Farm Share to bring locally grown, fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies directly to our GMA Families. More information can be found here. Contact Mrs. Connolly with any questions.
Lavner Summer Campers can explore their interests in Sports, Technology, the Arts and more! Register for 1+ weeks, specialize in an area of interest each week.
The GMA Skate Party scheduled for this Friday, May 5th, has been cancelled. The 8th grade class sponsors decided that there were too many activities scheduled for this weekend to ensure sufficient attendance.
Sign up now for GMA faculty camps the weeks of June 12 and June 19. Camps will run Monday to Friday and include sports, academic enrichment, Jumpstart into Kindergarten, and many other fun activities. Watch this summer camp commercial produced by the GMA Broadcast Team.
